Overview
The Huddle grew from a partnership between the North Melbourne football club, the Scanlon Foundation and the Australian Multicultural Foundation in 2010.
Recognising the importance of sport as a way to connect people, The Huddle aims to engage, support and empower young people and build on their strengths so they can participate fully in the community and feel they belong.
Located at North Melbourne football club, The Huddle uses sport, technology, positive education, team building and mentoring to engage and challenge young people who live in the area, seeking to develop their leadership skills and support them to become active participants in their local community.
Today, The Huddle provides a wide variety of programs that engage young people and provide them with guidance and practical skills that help them navigate the pathway to further education or employment.
Sport draws young people in, and The Huddle provides them with a place to belong, learn and grow.
