Welcoming Australia

Overview

Established as an initiative of the Scanlon Foundation, Welcoming Australia is an organisation that seeks to create a culture of welcome, advancing an Australia where people of all backgrounds can equally belong, contribute and thrive.

Through its partner initiatives—Welcoming Cities, Welcoming Clubs and Welcoming Universities—it seeks to help migrants access essential services and establish connections in their local community; create pathways for economic, social and civic participation and shape public narratives and institutional policies towards inclusion.

Welcoming Australia works with both receiving and migrant communities to facilitate a welcoming and inclusive environment for new migrants and provides resources and networks that build strong and socially cohesive communities.
