The Foundation, in seeking to create awareness and knowledge based discussion about Australia’s population growth and its relationship to social cohesion, has provided substantial funding grants to support independent, authoritative, evidence based analysis of data on population and immigration.

The Scanlon Foundation, in conjunction with Professor Andrew Markus and Monash University and in partnership with and the Australian Multicultural Foundation initiated and continues to support a major Social Cohesion Research program.

The research is focused on monitoring how Australia in the future can maintain the ‘immigration with social cohesion’ success story of the last 5 decades.

The Foundation also supports periodic research projects that complement the annual Mapping Social Cohesion surveys.
